Fort Walla Walla Museum Location, and Date

Hello Everyone,

Here is the response from Joan at Parks and Recreation in regard to using Fort Walla Walla as an option for a location, along with some helpful information and advice. Next... LOL!

"Did they say if they wanted to use the picnic areas? If so, we are redoing the big electrical panel that sits by the service road and downsizing to just a couple of outlets as part of the restroom project. There won’t be the large number of plug ins for vendors that there used to be and water isn’t very accessible. The Rotary Shelter doesn’t support a lot of electrical use either so I would question how many vendors will need water and electricity and where do they want to site the event. Also – do they take down their booths at night or leave them standing? Security becomes an issue if they’re leaving things out in the park at night.

The BMX group is racing that weekend also so the other side of the creek will be busy, and they’ll be competing with the loudspeaker of the race announcer. I would think Pioneer Park would set up better for something like this – much like the Race Unity (Diversity Day) and Fourth of July. If they really wanted to use Ft WW I think I’d ask them to go to another weekend."
